Beasiswa DAAD-Scholarships for Selected Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries 2009-2010 is provided by The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) – supports a range of postgraduate courses at German universities which aim at providing academically educated young professionals from Developing Countries (including Indonesia) with further specialised studies.

Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (EIPRS)

Applications are open to citizens of all overseas countries (excluding New Zealand), who are commencing full-time study in 2009 for a higher degree by research.

No age restriction applies for applicants.

To be eligible to apply for the EIPRS, you must:

Oxford and the Rhodes Scholarships

Rhodes Scholars are elected for two years of study at the University of Oxford, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. All educational costs, such as matriculation, tuition, laboratory and certain other fees, are paid on the Scholar’s behalf by the Rhodes Trustees. Each Scholar receives in addition a maintenance allowance adequate to meet necessary expenses for term-time and vacations. The Rhodes Trustees cover the necessary costs of travel to and from Oxford, and upon application, may approve additional grants for research purposes or study-related travel.

You may also get a hard copy from your University Representative, or from the Office of the American Secretary if your college or university does not have a representative. APPLICATIONS CHANGE YEAR TO YEAR AS DO STATE SECRETARIES AND THEIR ADDRESSES, SO BE CERTAIN TO USE AN APPLICATION FORM FOR THE CURRENT ELECTION YEAR. Closing date: 15 August is deadline for preliminary applications. 15 September is deadline for application by the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

Availability: l’Oréal – UNESCO offers yearly 15 fellowships worldwide to young female researchers. Three fellowships are available for women from the region Europe – North America.

The Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO every year can propose two Dutch candidates for the fellowship to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Interested persons are requested to timely contact the Dutch Commission as to give the Commission the opportunity to make a pre-selection of two candidates.

Non-Dutch nationals are requested to contact their National Commission for UNESCO of their country of origin. However information about the fellowship of course can be obtained via the contact mentioned above.

Selected candidates will be proposed to the UNESCO headquarters before September 15th. They will be informed about the result of the procedure before the end of that year.

The fellowship programme advocates the establishment of an international network. Candidates are encouraged to study in a country abroad for at least 12 months. Hence a letter of acceptance of a host institute is requested.
